PunShu

PunShu is a 2D stealth platformer. Players take on the role as an Avenger for his parents as they were thrown out of the house by a famous gang of potatoes.

PunShu aims to give off a good experience as the player can jump and sack any potatoes(enemies) in the air like a ninja. The game aims to make players feel good as they execute these stealthy moves.

Roles Summary

Level Designer

As the level designer, I have drafted out levels before implementing them. This helps me to see the overall level flow before actually building it in the engine. This save a lot of time as I can always revert back to my paper design to change certain areas if the result was not what I wanted.

One of the most memorable level was Level 2 as player love the challenge at the top part of the room. Most player felt like they were some sneaky ninja which was what the design intended.

I had the chance of being a Producer in this game where I take charge of splitting task and also ensuring that everyone does their part in the project. I have came to understand each member's different working style and cater accordingly.

​

This experience make me realize that a bonded team is very important. When the team approaches a milestone dateline, the team stay back and motivate each other to strive for the best.
